IT’S STILL THE STATE PENSION THAT

CAUSES THE MOST WORRY

The survey sent out with the last newsletter was very well responded to.

A remarkably high percentage of replies were received which we found very encouraging, and these will enable us to determine our future campaigning efforts on your behalf.

The results are as follows:.

State pension 37.2%
Council tax 18.9%
Health care 18.2%
Crime & safety 12.1%
Public transport 10.6%
Heating & lighting 3.0%

It is interesting and alarming to note, in this the 100th anniversary year of the State Pension, that it is still the chief area of worry for older people. With your support, we shall make this our major subject for attention, striving to bring it home forcibly to the government of the day that we demand a better deal.
